Jeb Bush — the son of former President George H.W. Bush and brother of former President George W. Bush — announced his intentions to explore a run for president of the United States of America on a Facebook post today. This is the first time a major presidential candidate has used the social network as a platform for an announcement. Usually campaigns launch in newspapers, television programs, or press conferences.
After roughly 10 million reporter attempts to get him to announce a run, Jeb does it via Facebook post.
